Professional boards across different states vary in what they will accept. The approvals associated with this event offer credits to a target audience of behavioral health professions, across the widest number of states. If you are unsure if the provided approvals will be accepted by your board, we recommend reaching out to your board office for clarification regarding whether the offered CE’s will be accepted.
In Person Attendees
Each professional is responsible for the individual requirements as stipulated by his/her licensing agency. Please contact your individual licensing board/regulatory agency to review continuing education requirements for licensure renewal. Please note: You must attend "live" (in real-time) for the duration of the training to earn CE credits.
After the event, you will receive access to your evaluation and continuing education certificate via a personalized "attendee dashboard" link, hosted on the CE-Go website. This link will be sent to the email account you used to register for the event.
Upon accessing the CE-Go "attendee dashboard", you will be able to:
- Complete evaluation forms for the event

EMDRIA Credits
This workshop is approved for 12 EMDRIA Credits. Eligibility for EMDRIA Credits is restricted to those who have completed an EMDRIA-Approved Basic EMDR Training. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded for full participation in both days.
Gray Matters Therapy Workshop, LLC, EC provider #18024, maintains responsibility for this workshop and its content in accordance with EMDRIA requirements. Target Audience
Licensed mental health professionals (psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, psychiatric nurses, accredited psychotherapists, etc.) with Full EMDR training.
This workshop is open to clinicians who are fully trained in EMDR (have completed an EMDRIA Approved Basic EMDR Training). This training is not a Basic Training in EMDR therapy.

Event Learning Objectives
- Analyze the research on Polyvagal Theory and relevant criticisms.
- Describe at least two core premises of Polyvagal Theory.
- Analyze the three circuits of the autonomic nervous system, and describe correlated physical and psychological symptoms for each circuit.
- Explain how the social engagement system is influenced by autonomic defenses.
- Assess commonalities between Polyvagal Theory and AIP, and describe how to apply these theoretical models to case conceptualization.
- Describe at least two premises of the social engagement system, and how those premises relate to the client-therapist relationship.
- List at least two of the four domains of the Preparation Hierarchy, along with corresponding interventions.
- Apply at least two Polyvagal inspired interventions to Phase 2 Preparation work to support stabilization and readiness for reprocessing.
- Analyze the components of the Phase 3 Assessment EMDR protocol through the lens of Polyvagal Theory.
- List at least two Polyvagal informed interweaves.
- Explain how Polyvagal Theory relates to phases 5 & 6 of EMDR reprocessing.
- Explain the role of Polyvagal Theory in Phase 7 closure, and at least 2 techniques to close an EMDR reprocessing session.
